Have you ever felt the fear of the unknown with your advanced maternal age?

It can be scary:

  • Will there be problems trying to get pregnant?
  • Is there an increased risk in pregnancy loss with advanced maternal age?
  • Will I have pregnancy or delivery complications?

Despite how scared you may feel, I’m SO excited for you to step past it and understand that just because your pregnancy is high-risk doesn’t mean your risk is high. And that’s exactly what today’s episode is all about!

My guest today is Dr. Shannon Clark, a double board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist and contributor on ACOG’s new book, Your Pregnancy and Childbirth: Month to Month.

Shannan is an awesome doctor that focuses on the care of women with maternal and/or fetal complications of pregnancy.

Like Cher Hale, who said: “I love that Erica is willing to explore topics that are controversial and backed by science. Listening to her interviews always helps me reassess what I’ve believed to be true about healthy living and make new, more informed choices.”

Thanks, Cher Hale, and thank YOU for listening!
